Hana Knížová is a Czech-born photographic artist working out of London and Prague. Her work reflects numerous ambitious visions of youth and interpersonal relationships, illustrated through conceptual and intimate series of portraits.
Hana moved to London in 2010, where she studied at London College of Communication and graduated with a master’s degree in photography. In 2013, she was awarded the prestigious John Kobal New Work Award from London's National Portrait Gallery, for her portrait of identical twins, Elza and Nellie. The twin portraiture showcased Hana’s fascination with the similarities, differences, and mutual close attachments between twins from her series ’Family Matters’. In 2019, she was further awarded the Photographer of the Year Prize by Czech Grand Design. Her work is regularly exhibited.
